Rungee Chungee was born after 8 friends ventured to the majestic kingdom of Nepal. Trekking over miles of mountainous trails, meeting friendly inhabitants in their remote villages and learning about their rich cultural heritage was a transforming experience.

Rungee Chungee which means "Burst of Color" in Nepalese is owned and operated by Diane Fiddyment and Patty Kuehn. All of our hand-crafted products are imported from Nepal. Our jewelry is influenced by both the Tibetans and Nepalese. Our felt and cotton handbags are whimsical and unique. The colorful pashminas have their origins in Nepal, where the people have had the tradition of hand-weaving shawls for thousands of years. Our brightly colored gift wrap is hand-made using the lengthy time-honored method of the Nepali paper makers.

By working with unemployed or underemployed artisans, Rungee Chungee helps the Nepalese people bring their beautiful crafts and culture to the U.S., helping to support families in this developing country. We import quality products from people we have developed relationships with and are confident in the knowledge that we are conducting business with artisans in a manner that we both consider fair and ethical.
